BRUIN VARSITY LIFE

In this final quarter of the school year, we have focused our teaching on the "Fruit of the Spirit", listed in Galatians 5:22. Each week, we have taken one of the fruits listed and expounded on them. I had the privilege of kicking off the series a few weeks ago, by speaking on "Love" and will be speaking on the topic of "Kindness" next week.

Recently, we felt led to do something a little different than our normal weekly format. With the help of another college ministry on campus, Cru, we partnered for a time of corporate prayer and worship. What a beautiful time this proved to be seeing 18-22 year olds crying out to GOD and pleading with Him to change their campus, community, and culture.

God is indeed, raising up a generation of young folk who aren't ashamed to stand up and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

SAND VOLLEYBALL

Just over a week ago, Jenny concluded her 2nd season as the assistant sand volleyball coach. Her team traveled to Hawaii (I know, what a life:), to compete in their final tournament of the season. Despite some high's and low's of the past season, Jenny really did enjoy developing relationships with her players both on and off the sand. This year's team got better as the season progressed, and the future is looking brighter as they are adding promising young players to the fold.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

In our last ministry report, we shared how the Lady Bruins accepted a bid to play in the Women's National Invitational Tournament. Well, on April 4th, after competing against 6 teams, they won the WNIT Title, after defeating West Virginia 62-60 in the Championship game. What a joy it was to see these young ladies come together and finish up their season on a winning note.

FAMILY MATTERS

A week before Easter, Jaylen and I traveled to the east coast for her 8th grade class trip. With just over 70 in our travel party, we spent time in Washington, DC, Gettysburg, Pennyslvania, and New York City. You name it, we visited it. We learned alot, but more importantly, created wonderful memories along the way.

It's hard to believe that in just a couple weeks, this little girl will be graduating from the 8th grade!
