A DOUBLE BLESSING
This summer included a couple of very special moments for our ministry. First, following one of the summer bible studies Jenny has been facilitating with some players from the UCLA women's basketball team, Dominique shared with us her desire to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord & Savior. Shortly afterwards, she asked if I would baptize her to symbolize her faith decision.
With several of her teammates on hand to witness and support her, Dominique was filled with unspeakable joy as she shared about her spiritual journey and desire to follow Jesus moving forward.
Secondly, this past Saturday, I officiated a wedding ceremony for two UCLA athletes. What a fun evening it was to witness and celebrate with this couple, along with all their family and friends.

FAMILY FUN
Our family took a couple trips this summer. First, we enjoyed a 4 night beach camping trip down in Ensenada, Mexico. We were able to spend that time with a number of our friends which made our stay even more enjoyable.

In addition to our Mexico trip, we traveled to Maryland to visit Kevin's family. While there, we managed to spend a few hours in Washington D.C. and drove up to Pittsburgh for the weekend. This was our first trip to Pittsburgh since moving back to LA two years ago. We saw many friends, drove around to some of our favorite spots, and even paid a visit to Steelers training camp. I'm not sure we could have scripted a better trip. It was absolutely perfect!
